Meet Becky

Becky Pate is a lifelong resident of Caryville, Florida, and a dedicated public servant committed to the growth and preservation of her hometown. At 70 years old, she proudly serves as a Caryville Town Councilwoman, local business owner, and active community leader whose roots run deep along the Choctawhatchee River.

“Caryville is my home. I have lived here my whole life,” Pate says. “I love Caryville.”

Throughout her years of service, Becky has played a vital role in strengthening the town’s sense of community and stability. She was instrumental in the long-awaited reopening of the Caryville Civic Center in 2023, marking the completion of an $85,000 renovation project. The revitalized center now serves as a hub for gatherings and events, with revenue reinvested directly into the upkeep of the facility, ensuring it remains a treasured asset for future generations.

Becky also coordinates Caryville’s beloved Annual Worm Fiddlin’ Festival, helping preserve a cherished local tradition while welcoming visitors and celebrating the town’s heritage.

As a councilwoman, Pate has remained proactive in addressing community concerns.

Recognizing that a surge in transient individuals was raising safety concerns, particularly among female town employees. She proposed exploring financial assistance from the Governor’s office to repair and reinforce fencing around government supply buildings. Her leadership reflects her commitment to maintaining a safe, family-oriented environment while supporting responsible growth.

“We want to keep growing,” Pate says. “We see new faces all the time, and people are moving in around here. They are very pleased with the progress that has been made.”

With a heart for service and a vision for sustainable progress, Becky Pate continues working to ensure Caryville remains a close-knit, welcoming community while embracing thoughtful development and opportunity.
